Natasha Cornett (born January 26, 1979) is an American criminal serving life without parole at the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex in Tennessee for her role in the horrific 1997 Lillelid murders.

Her deeply troubled upbringing in rural Kentucky—marked by poverty, a negligent single mother, untreated bipolar disorder and anorexia, and relentless bullying—led her to drop out of school, embrace the Goth subculture, and suffer a crushing divorce at age 17.

On April 6, 1997, the then-18-year-old Cornett and five fellow disaffected youths fled Pikeville, Kentucky, heading for New Orleans after trashing a motel room and fearing arrest.

At a rest stop in Greeneville, Tennessee, they encountered the Lillelid family—Norwegian-born Vidar, his Honduran-American wife Delfina, and their young children Tabitha and Peter—an encounter that ended in the brutal slaughter of all four victims.

Forensic psychologist Helen Smith highlights Cornett in her book The Scarred Heart, describing the case as a stark warning about the failures of the school, mental health, and criminal justice systems to intervene early enough.
