Milo Yiannopoulos is a British far-right political commentator known for his opposition to Islam, feminism, and social justice, who rose to prominence as an editor at Breitbart News from 2014 to 2017. He became a key voice in the Gamergate controversy and was permanently banned from Twitter in July 2016 for harassing actress Leslie Jones. In 2017, he resigned from Breitbart and lost a book deal with Simon & Schuster after video clips surfaced of him stating that sexual relationships between 13-year-old boys and adults could be "perfectly consensual," comments he later claimed were about adolescent gay males and a means of coping with his own abuse. Later, he worked as an intern for Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene in 2022 and joined Kanye West's 2024 presidential campaign alongside white nationalist Nick Fuentes, even briefly serving as Chief of Staff at Yeezy Apparel. His controversial career culminated in August 2026 when he was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and deported back to the United Kingdom on 28 August 2026 after an immigration judge issued a final removal order for his failure to appear at a hearing.
