Miguel Borja is a Colombian professional footballer currently playing as a striker for Club América in Liga MX and the Colombia national team. After struggling early in his career with several clubs, Borja broke through in 2016 with Cortuluá, setting a league record with 19 goals in a single tournament, a feat that earned him a move to Atlético Nacional. There, he scored crucial goals in the 2016 Copa Libertadores triumph and was named South American Footballer of the Year. He later claimed titles with Palmeiras (2018 Brasileirão) and River Plate (2023 Primera División) before moving to América in 2025.
