Shilo Deion Sanders (born February 9, 2000) is a former American football safety and the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. After starting his college career at South Carolina, he transferred to play under his father at Jackson State, earning second-team All-SWAC honors in 2021, and then followed him to Colorado, where he made a notable 80-yard pick-six against Colorado State in 2023. He signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2025, but his NFL stint was short-lived—he was released during the preseason after being ejected for punching an opponent and was fined $4,669. In May 2026, Sanders revealed he had effectively retired from professional football. Off the field, he also faced a significant legal battle, with a court ordering him to pay $11.8 million in a 2022 default judgment related to a 2016 altercation with a security officer.
