Caleb Downs (born December 10, 2004) is a professional football safety for the Dallas Cowboys, drafted 11th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft and signing a four-year, $28.9 million contract with a $17.5 million signing bonus. In college, he starred at both Alabama—earning SEC Freshman of the Year—and Ohio State, where he won the 2024 national championship and claimed the 2025 Lott Trophy and Jim Thorpe Award. A standout athlete in football, basketball, and baseball in high school, he became a unanimous All-American at Ohio State before declaring for the draft in January 2026. He is also a prominent figure in the NIL era, securing major endorsement deals with Rhoback and Panini America. Coming from a football dynasty as the son of former NFL player Gary Downs and brother of Colts receiver Josh Downs, he credits his Christian faith as the foundation for his achievements.
