Sharon Osbourne
Sharon Osbourne (born 9 October 1952 in London) is an English-American television personality, businesswoman, and author who first rose to fame as the matriarch of the hit MTV reality show The Osbournes (2002–2005), which followed her family's daily life. She is widely credited with reviving her husband Ozzy Osbourne's heavy metal career after their marriage in 1982, founding the hugely successful Ozzfest tour (1996–2018) and managing other acts like Motörhead and The Smashing Pumpkins through her own company. Beyond reality TV, she became a prominent talent show judge on The X Factor (2004–2007, 2013, 2016–2017) and America's Got Talent (2007–2012), and hosted her own talk shows, including The Sharon Osbourne Show and the CBS panel show The Talk until her termination in 2021. Her turbulent early life was marked by an abusive relationship with her father, music promoter Don Arden, whom she claimed once tried to kill her, as well as a strained relationship with her mother, which contributed to a traumatic abortion at age 17 that she later called "the biggest mistake in my life." She has also authored three autobiographies and two novels, and in 2024 appeared as a celebrity lodger on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK.
