Club Tijuana, also known as the Xolos, is a Mexican professional football club founded in 2007 and based in Tijuana, Baja California, competing in Liga MX at the Estadio Caliente. The club's badge features the hairless Xoloitzcuintle dog of founder Jorge Hank, and they are one of only seven Mexican clubs that have never been relegated. After winning the Apertura 2010 second-division title, they secured promotion to the top flight in May 2011 by defeating Irapuato 2–1 on aggregate in the Campeón de Ascenso, and just a year and a half later captured their first Liga MX championship. During their debut top-flight season, they signed notable players like José Sand and Dayro Moreno, and after a sluggish start, manager Antonio Mohamed took over to improve their performance. The club is also known for having the youngest executives in Mexican first-division history, with Jorge Alberto Hank serving as president.
