The Grand Tour

The Grand Tour is a British motoring series created by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May, and Andy Wilman for Amazon Prime Video, premiering on 18 November 2016 after the trio's departure from the BBC's Top Gear. The show initially mirrored Top Gear's successful formula, featuring studio tent segments, car reviews, timed laps on a custom "Eboladrome" track, and elaborate global challenges, but it shifted after its third series to focus exclusively on special motoring films and road-trip adventures. The iconic 22-year partnership of Clarkson, Hammond, and May concluded with their final episode released on 13 September 2024, with a new lineup—James Engelsman, Thomas Holland, and Francis Bourgeois—confirmed to take over from September 2026. Acclaimed for its presenters' chemistry and high production values, the series became one of Prime Video's most-viewed and most expensive original shows, and even spawned a video game, The Grand Tour Game, released on 15 January 2019.
