Osawaru Odighizuwa (born August 13, 1998) is an American football defensive tackle who currently plays for the San Francisco 49ers, though he built his reputation with the Dallas Cowboys, who drafted him 75th overall in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft. A standout at UCLA, he earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, posting 30 tackles and 4 sacks before declaring for the draft. Interestingly, he was a dominant wrestler in high school, winning three straight state heavyweight championships and going undefeated (46-0 and 45-0) in his final two years, also capturing the 2015 Fargo national title. In his rookie NFL season with Dallas, he won a starting job and made an immediate impact, recording his first career sack and 1.5 sacks total in a Week 3 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. He continued to pile up tackles for loss throughout the season, establishing himself as a disruptive interior force.
