Jong PSV is the reserve team of Dutch football club PSV Eindhoven, based in Eindhoven, and has competed in the Eerste Divisie (the second tier of Dutch football) since the 2013-14 season. They earned their place in the league after amateur side VV Katwijk rejected an invitation, joining Jong Ajax and Jong FC Twente as one of the first reserve teams in the division. Because they share the same league system as the senior PSV team, Jong PSV operates under strict rules: they cannot be promoted, relegated, or enter the KNVB Cup, and they must field players aged 23 or younger (with a few exceptions). While they initially played at the Philips Stadion, their home matches are now held at De Herdgang, their training complex. The team has a strong youth pedigree, having won the Beloften Eredivisie four times, and most notably captured the Premier League International Cup in the 2022-23 season. This structure allows PSV's promising young talents to gain valuable professional experience while staying within the club's system.
