However, the platform has faced significant controversy, including accusations of tolerating hate speech, sexual content, and even criminal acts, exemplified by Adin Ross's livestreams featuring Pornhub and white nationalist Nick Fuentes. CEO Ed Craven acknowledged the platform's challenges, admitting it is not yet profitable but plans to rely on advertising within one to three years. In March 2025, Kick launched the "Kick Road Campaign" with Streams Charts, offering a $50,000 prize pool, and opened its public API with a $100,000 developer fund to foster third-party tools. Additionally, from 2023 to 2025, Kick sponsored the Sauber Motorsport Formula One team, highlighting its aggressive expansion into mainstream visibility.
