Isabelle Fuhrman

Isabelle Fuhrman (born February 25, 1997) is an American actress who achieved her breakthrough as the unsettling Esther in the horror film Orphan (2009), a role she reprised in the 2022 prequel Orphan: First Kill. Born in Washington, D.C., to a Russian Jewish immigrant mother from Moldova, she was discovered at age seven by a Cartoon Network casting director and later graduated from Stanford Online High School in 2015. Her diverse filmography includes Clove in The Hunger Games (2012), the critically acclaimed lead in the indie drama The Novice (2021), and Diamond in the Western series Horizon: An American Saga (2024–present). Her powerful performance in The Novice earned her the Tribeca Film Festival Award for Best Actress and an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Interestingly, she originally auditioned for Katniss in The Hunger Games but was deemed too young, ultimately landing the role of Clove instead.
