Thad Luckinbill (born April 24, 1975) is an American actor and producer best known for his long-running role as J.T. Hellstrom on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless, which he played from 1999 to 2010 and reprised several times, most recently in 2023. Since 2023, he has starred as CIA officer Kyle McManus in the Taylor Sheridan spy thriller Lioness, and he has also guest-starred on numerous primetime shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and CSI. In his personal life, he has an identical twin brother, Trent, who is a lawyer and once appeared as a corpse next to Thad on Law & Order: Criminal Intent; Thad married his Young and the Restless co-star Amelia Heinle in 2007, with whom he has two children, though he filed for divorce in 2017. Beyond acting, Luckinbill co-founded the production company Black Label Media with his twin and producer Molly Smith, producing acclaimed films such as Sicario, The Good Lie, and Demolition. In 2023, he both produced and acted in the action thriller Reptile, teaming up again with his brother. He also appeared in Madonna's "Don't Tell Me" music video as a cowboy, adding a fun pop-culture footnote to his career.
