The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, announced on September 9, 2024, and released on September 20, 2024, are Apple's eighteenth-generation flagship smartphones. They feature larger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays with the thinnest borders of any Apple product, are powered by the new A18 Pro chip for enhanced AI performance, and are the final pro models to use the titanium form factor. The camera system is a major upgrade, boasting 48MP wide and ultra-wide lenses, a 5x optical zoom telephoto on both models, and the ability to record 4K video at 120fps for the first time. A new physical Camera Control button allows quick access to camera features, and the devices support Wi-Fi 7 and come pre-installed with iOS 18. They were discontinued on September 9, 2025, following the announcement of the iPhone 17 Pro models.
