Kaya Scodelario
Kaya Scodelario (born 13 March 1992) is a British actress who first gained prominence playing Effy Stonem in the E4 teen drama Skins (2007–2010, 2013), a role that earned her two Golden Nymph nominations. Born in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, to a Brazilian mother and Polish-English father, she grew up in London, took her mother's surname, and found acting as an escape from bullying. She made her film debut in Moon (2009) and went on to star in Wuthering Heights (2011), the Maze Runner series (2014–2018), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017), Crawl (2019), and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021). In 2024, she starred in the action-comedy series The Gentlemen and the biographical drama Senna. Her career began at age 14 with no acting experience, and she later became the central character of Skins in its third and fourth series, reprising the role in the final season's "Fire" episodes.
