Noel Clarke (born 6 December 1975) is a former English actor, writer, and director who rose to fame playing Mickey Smith in Doctor Who and for his critically acclaimed Kidulthood film trilogy. He won a Laurence Olivier Award in 2003 and a BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2009, later receiving the BAFTA Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema in 2021. However, in April 2021, 26 women accused him of verbal abuse, bullying, and sexual misconduct, leading to the suspension of his BAFTA award. In 2025, a High Court libel case he brought against The Guardian found the sexual misconduct allegations to be "substantially true". Consequently, on 9 September 2026, he was formally charged with offences including sexual assault, voyeurism, and exposure, effectively ending his career.
