Maisie Williams (born 15 April 1997) is an English actress who rose to international fame as Arya Stark in the HBO epic fantasy series Game of Thrones (2011–2019), a role that earned her two Emmy nominations and critical acclaim. Beyond Westeros, she showcased her versatility in projects like Doctor Who, the acclaimed film The Falling (2014), the superhero horror The New Mutants (2020), and the Sex Pistols biopic Pistol (2022). In 2018, she made her stage debut in I and You at London's Hampstead Theatre to positive reviews. Raised in Somerset, she left school at 14 to pursue acting and was home-educated. In 2019, she co-founded Daisie, a social media platform designed to help artists and creators network and advance their careers.
