Ernesto Laguardia (born October 5, 1959, in Mexico City) is a celebrated Mexican actor best known for his extensive career in telenovelas. Before finding fame on screen, he worked as a model, dancer, and radio news reporter—interviewing stars like Julio Iglesias—while earning a business degree from ITAM and later a master's in film direction from New York University. He made his acting debut in David Lynch's Dune (1984), but rose to stardom through iconic telenovelas such as Quinceañera and Amor Real. In 2012, he played the main villain Romulo Ancira in Corona de lágrimas, a role he reprised in the 2022 sequel, and in 2025 he starred in the telenovela Amanecer. Beyond acting, he has developed projects through his own production companies and appeared in numerous films, showcasing his remarkable versatility in the entertainment industry.
