Howard Stern (born January 12, 1954, in Queens, New York) is an American broadcaster and comedian best known for The Howard Stern Show, which he brought to national prominence on terrestrial radio from 1986 to 2005 before moving to SiriusXM, where he has broadcast since 2006. Dubbed the "King of All Media" since 1992, his career includes stints at WNBC (from which he was fired in 1985) and WXRK, eventually reaching 20 million listeners across 60 markets, and he later served as a judge on America's Got Talent from 2012 to 2015.

A controversial yet highly successful figure, he became the most fined radio host in history, with the FCC issuing $2.5 million in penalties over indecent content, while also winning Billboard's Nationally Syndicated Air Personality of the Year eight times. In 2004, he signed a groundbreaking $500 million, five-year deal with Sirius, solidifying his status as one of radio's highest-paid stars, and he renewed his contract again in December 2025.
