Malika Andrews (born January 27, 1995) is a prominent American sports journalist who currently hosts ESPN's NBA Today, a role she took over after the show replaced The Jump. Growing up in Oakland, California, as a Warriors fan, she earned a communications degree from the University of Portland in 2017, where she worked as editor-in-chief of the school newspaper. After stints at The Denver Post, The New York Times, and the Chicago Tribune, she joined ESPN in October 2018, becoming its youngest sideline reporter during the 2020 NBA Bubble and leading the 2020 NBA draft telecast. In 2021, she was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and took over as ABC's sideline reporter for the NBA Finals after Rachel Nichols was removed, and in May 2022 she won a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Personality/Emerging On-Air Talent. She made history on June 23, 2022, by becoming the first woman to host the NBA Draft, and in December 2025 she filled in as a co-anchor on Good Morning America. Recognized for her work as ESPN's only black female NBA reporter, she is also known for her distinctive "garden-party-chic" wardrobe on the court.
