Muse Spark

Meta introduced Muse Spark, a large language model developed by its Meta Superintelligence Labs, in April 2026, with the 1.1 version launching on July 9, 2026. This multimodal AI excels at reasoning, coding, and AI-assisted software development, powers Meta AI, and can process up to a million tokens of context in a single prompt. Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that the upgraded Muse Spark 1.2 would be released as an open-weight model, meaning its internal parameters are publicly accessible for modification and use. Released alongside this on August 5, 2026 was Muse Code, a terminal-based coding agent from Meta that can run multiple sub-agents concurrently, with access offered via the Meta Model API and OpenRouter at distinct pricing tiers for data retention. Following this, Meta launched Muse Glimmer on August 10, 2026, a smaller, fully open-weight (Apache License 2.0) 30-billion-parameter multimodal model capable of running entirely offline on a single 24 GB consumer GPU for local agentic and coding tasks.
