Budda Baker (born January 10, 1996) is a standout safety for the Arizona Cardinals, earning his unique nickname from his mother, who thought he resembled a Buddha doll as a baby. After a stellar career at Bellevue High School in Washington, he flipped his college commitment from Oregon to the University of Washington, where he became a consensus All-American in 2016 before declaring for the 2017 NFL draft. The Cardinals traded up to select him 36th overall in the second round, and despite missing OTAs due to his university's quarters system, he made his first career start on November 19, 2017, against the Texans—recording 13 tackles, a sack, and two pass deflections.
