The ongoing federal murder-for-hire trial of rapper Lil Durk (Durk Banks) and five associates from his Only the Family (OTF) label is being heard in the Central District of California, stemming from the August 2022 shooting death of Saviay'a "Lul Pab" Robinson, cousin of rapper Quando Rondo, in a Los Angeles attack that fired at least 18 rounds. Prosecutors allege the shooting was retaliation for the November 2020 killing of OTF affiliate King Von, and that Banks offered monetary rewards and music opportunities for the murder. Banks was arrested in Broward County, Florida, on October 17, 2024, and in June 2026 he and his co-defendants were charged under the Violent Crimes in Aid of Racketeering (VICAR) statute, with the indictment describing OTF as a criminal enterprise. The trial began on August 20, 2026, though Banks' defense successfully moved to sever the VICAR charges into a separate trial. Court documents also link Banks to the January 2022 murder of rival gang member Stephon Mack, and note his history with the Black Disciples street gang, as well as a 2019 Atlanta shooting case where charges were later dropped.
