Yann Sommer (born 17 December 1988) is a Swiss professional goalkeeper currently playing for Club Brugge, celebrated for his exceptional reflexes and agility. He rose to prominence at Basel, winning four consecutive Swiss Super League titles, before a nine-year stint at Borussia Mönchengladbach starting in 2014. In January 2023, he joined Bayern Munich to claim a Bundesliga title, then moved to Inter Milan in August 2023, where he secured two Serie A titles, a Coppa Italia, and reached the 2025 UEFA Champions League final. On the international stage, Sommer debuted for Switzerland in 2012 and represented his nation at three World Cups (2014, 2018, 2022) and three European Championships (2016, 2020, 2024) before retiring from international play in August 2024.
