Camila Alves

Camila McConaughey (née Alves, born 28 January 1983) is a Brazilian-American model and designer, best known as the wife of actor Matthew McConaughey. After immigrating to the U.S. at 15 and working as a cleaner and waitress, she moved to New York at 20 to pursue modeling, gracing the covers of magazines like Maxim and designing her own Muxo handbag line. A true entrepreneur, she launched the lifestyle site Women of Today, co-owns the organic baby food company Yummy Spoonfuls, and released the New York Times bestseller Just Try One Bite in 2022. She met Matthew in 2006, married him in a private Catholic ceremony in Austin, Texas, in 2012, and the couple has three children—with her famously inspiring him to quit rom-coms. A U.S. citizen since 2015, she co-founded the Just Keep Livin' Foundation and helped distribute over 100,000 face masks during the 2020 pandemic.
