Christian Nodal (born January 11, 1999, in Caborca, Sonora) is a Mexican singer-songwriter celebrated for pioneering "mariacheño", a fusion of mariachi and norteño music. After signing with Universal Music Latin in 2016 at age 17, his debut album Me Dejé Llevar (2017) launched hits like "Adiós Amor" and "Te Fallé". In 2021, his collaboration with rapper Gera MX, "Botella Tras Botella", made history as the first regional Mexican song to enter the Billboard Hot 100. Following a label switch to Sony Music Mexico in 2022, he released the EPs Forajido and Forajido 2, featuring top-ten singles like "Ya No Somos Ni Seremos". With six Latin Grammy Awards and a musical upbringing influenced by his grandfather's poetry lessons, Nodal remains a dominant force in Latin music.
