Jonah Tong (born June 19, 2003) is a Canadian professional baseball pitcher for the New York Mets, who made his MLB debut in 2025. Drafted in the seventh round of the 2022 MLB draft out of Bill Crothers Secondary School in Ontario, he rapidly rose through the minors, culminating in a combined perfect game for the Double-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies on May 10, 2025. He earned a win in his major league debut against the Miami Marlins on August 29, 2025, allowing just one run and striking out six over five innings, though he struggled for the rest of the season with a 7.71 ERA. After starting 2026 in Triple-A, he was briefly recalled in May before being optioned back down in June. Off the field, Tong has a diverse heritage, being half Chinese on his father's side and of Irish, German, and Scottish descent on his mother's side.
