Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex (born 15 September 1984) is the younger son of King Charles III and Diana, Princess of Wales, and currently sits fifth in the line of succession to the British throne. Educated at Eton College, he trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and served twice on active duty in Afghanistan, later founding the Invictus Games in 2014 for wounded service personnel. In 2018, he married American actress Meghan Markle and was created Duke of Sussex; the couple have two children, Archie and Lilibet. In January 2020, they dramatically stepped back from their roles as working royals and relocated to Southern California, establishing the Archewell Inc. organisation for their commercial and charitable ventures. The couple shared their story through a widely publicised 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, the 2022 Netflix documentary series Harry & Meghan, and his 2023 memoir Spare. In August 2026, they returned to live in the UK with their children, but with no plans to resume public royal duties.
