Junior Caminero (born July 5, 2003, in Santo Domingo) is a Dominican third baseman for the Tampa Bay Rays, who signed with Cleveland in 2019 and was traded to Tampa Bay in 2021. After a rapid minor-league rise, he made his MLB debut in September 2023 and won the Southern League MVP that same year. In 2025, his first full season, he broke out with a .264/.311/.535 slash line, 45 home runs, and 110 RBIs, earning his first All-Star selection and finishing as runner-up in the Home Run Derby to Cal Raleigh. He also became the first Rays player to record two doubles and two home runs in a single game, and he fell just one home run short of the franchise single-season record. In 2026, Caminero earned a second consecutive All-Star nod and helped the Dominican Republic secure a bronze medal at the World Baseball Classic.
