Owned anonymously by a German lecturer (who created the project "Goxx Capital" with a friend during COVID lockdowns), the hamster placed his first order on 12 June 2021 and famously outperformed many human investors, with his portfolio rising about 20% by September 2021. Unfortunately, Mr. Goxx passed away on 26 November 2021, and his creators later revealed the name was a nod to the infamous Mt. Gox cryptocurrency exchange scandal, joking that their pet might make smarter investments than humans.
