Max Carver (born Robert Maxwell Martensen Jr. on August 1, 1988, in San Francisco) is an American actor celebrated for his frequent collaborations with his identical twin brother, Charlie, on hit television series. He rose to fame as Preston Scavo in Desperate Housewives (2008–2012), played Aiden in Teen Wolf (2013–2015), and appeared in the first season of HBO's The Leftovers (2014), often portraying twins alongside his sibling. Raised in Calistoga, Napa Valley, he graduated from St. Paul's School in 2007 and earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Southern California in 2012. Beyond his twin roles, Carver has guest-starred on shows like The Office and Victorious, and made his principal film debut in the 2014 drama Ask Me Anything, starring alongside Britt Robertson and Martin Sheen.
