"Narco" is a 2017 electronic dance track by Dutch duo Blasterjaxx and Australian DJ Timmy Trumpet, created after Trumpet suggested replacing an Arabian flute melody with his signature trumpet, and named after the TV series Narcos. The song became a cultural phenomenon in baseball as the walk-out music for New York Mets pitcher Edwin Díaz, first used in 2018 with the Mariners and rising to iconic status with Mets fans by 2022. Its fame peaked on August 31, 2022, when Timmy Trumpet performed the song live at a Mets game as Díaz earned a save against the Dodgers. Beyond baseball, it serves as a cheer song for the KIA Tigers in the KBO League and a walk-out song for Cheng-Yang Chu of the Rakuten Monkeys in the CPBL. Notably, the melody closely resembles the 1979 Belgian drinking song "Zuipe" by Katastroof, though the original composer declined to sue due to legal costs. Even after Díaz joined the Los Angeles Dodgers, his 2026 debut featured a live trumpet rendition of the song by local musician Tatiana Tate.
