Duck Dodgers (also known as Duck Dodgers: The Animated Series) is a comic science fiction animated series developed by Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone, based on the classic 1953 theatrical short starring Daffy Duck. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation from 2003 to 2005, the show aired on Cartoon Network and later Boomerang, reimagining Looney Tunes characters in a futuristic 24½th-century setting—such as Yosemite Sam as a Klingon-like alien and Elmer Fudd as a parasitic mind-altering disease. The series features Daffy Duck as the hapless, arrogant hero Duck Dodgers, who is revived from a 300-year freeze by Dr. I.Q. Hi, alongside his loyal and far smarter sidekick, the Eager Young Space Cadet (played by Porky Pig). Notably, its theme song was arranged by The Flaming Lips and sung by Tom Jones in a style reminiscent of a James Bond theme. The show earned critical acclaim, winning an Annie Award in 2004 for music by Robert J. Kral and an Emmy Award for Joe Alaskey's voice performance as Dodgers, before ending production in 2005 after its third season.
