Jac Caglianone, a former two-way star at the University of Florida, was drafted sixth overall by the Kansas City Royals in the 2024 MLB draft and made his MLB debut in 2025. At Florida, he set the school's single-season home run record with 33 in 2023 and finished his career with 75, surpassing Matt LaPorta, while also tying an NCAA record by homering in nine consecutive games in 2024—including a 516-foot blast. After signing for a $7.21 million bonus, he began his pro career in the minors, focusing solely on hitting rather than pitching, and earned a rapid promotion to Triple-A Omaha in May 2025 after posting a .322 average with nine homers in Double-A. He also made his first professional outfield appearance in April 2025, showcasing his versatility as he transitioned to right field. Beyond his MLB career, Caglianone, who overcame Tommy John surgery in high school, also competes internationally for Italy.
