Jeff Scott (born December 28, 1980) served as the head football coach at the University of South Florida from 2020 to 2022. Before leading USF, he was a key figure at Clemson, first as a player and later as co-offensive coordinator alongside Tony Elliott, helping the Tigers win the national championship over Alabama in January 2017. His coaching career began in 2006 when, at just 25, he led Blythewood High School to a state title in the program's inaugural season—a historic first-year feat. Hired by South Florida on December 9, 2019, he became the youngest head coach in the American Athletic Conference, but his tenure was highly unsuccessful, ending with a dismal 4–26 record and just one victory against an FBS opponent. He was fired on November 6, 2022, leaving him with the lowest winning percentage (.133) in program history. Notably, he comes from a football family, as his father, Brad Scott, previously coached the University of South Carolina Gamecocks.
