Mullett Arena is a 5,000-seat multipurpose venue at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, serving as the home for the Sun Devils' men's and women's hockey, wrestling, and volleyball teams, as well as the NBA G League's Valley Suns. Approved in November 2020 and opened in 2022, the facility replaced the Oceanside Ice Arena and was named in August 2022 after university benefactors Donald and Barbara Mullett. It gained national attention as the temporary home of the NHL's Arizona Coyotes from 2022 to 2024, where NHL capacity was capped at 4,600—the lowest in the modern league—after the team paid roughly $19.7 million for upgrades. The first ASU hockey game took place on October 14, 2022 (a 2-0 win over Colgate, with Josh Doan scoring the first goal), while the Coyotes played their final game there on April 17, 2024, before the franchise suspended operations and moved its assets to Utah. Following the Coyotes' departure, the Valley Suns made their home debut on November 11, 2024, defeating the Stockton Kings 108-100, with Jalen Bridges scoring 24 points. The venue also hosted a Real American Freestyle event broadcast on Fox Nation in February 2026, showcasing its versatility beyond sports.
