Dominique Malonga (basketball)

Dominique Malonga (born 16 November 2005) is a French basketball prodigy who was drafted second overall by the Seattle Storm in the 2025 WNBA draft. In her standout rookie season, she became the youngest player in WNBA history to record a double-double and reach 100 career points, earning a spot on the WNBA All-Rookie Team. Known for her athleticism, she went viral for dunking at 16 and later dunked in a EuroCup game, though she was narrowly beaten to the title of first French woman to do so by Alicia Tournebize. Malonga also helped France win a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics as the team's youngest member. However, her 2025-26 season was disrupted by wrist surgery and a subsequent contract dispute with Turkish club Fenerbahçe, which she unilaterally terminated.
