The 2025–26 season marked Wrexham AFC's 161st season and their triumphant return to the Championship (the second tier of English football) for the first time since 1981–82, following three consecutive promotions from the National League, League Two, and League One. The Red Dragons achieved their highest-ever league finish by ending the campaign in 7th place, but narrowly missed out on the promotion play-offs. In cup competitions, they reached the fifth round of the FA Cup (losing to Chelsea) and the fourth round of the EFL Cup (losing to Cardiff City).
