Irán Castillo (born January 4, 1977, in Veracruz, Mexico) is a celebrated Mexican singer and actress who began her career in commercials at age six. She rose to fame in the 1990s and early 2000s through iconic Televisa telenovelas like Agujetas de color de rosa, Soñadoras, and Clase 406. Her music career peaked in 1997 with the hit single "Yo por él" from her debut album Tiempos Nuevos. In film, she won the Best Actress award at the 2003 Heraldo Awards for El tigre de Santa Julia and earned an Ariel Award nomination in 2011 for Victorio.
