Kenny Minchey Jr. (born February 18, 2005) is an American college football quarterback who currently plays for the Kentucky Wildcats, having transferred from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. A four-star recruit out of Pope Saint John Paul II Preparatory School in Tennessee, he threw for 3,280 yards and 32 touchdowns as a junior and was selected for the prestigious 2022 Elite 11. After initially committing to Pittsburgh, he chose Notre Dame, but saw limited action in his first two seasons and lost the starting quarterback battle to CJ Carr in 2025. Following a backup role that season, he entered the transfer portal and announced a move to Nebraska on January 4, 2026, only to dramatically flip his commitment to Kentucky the very next day. This swift change makes him a promising new addition for the Wildcats as he seeks a fresh start and a chance to compete for the starting job.
