Franklin David Azar (born April 18, 1957) is a prominent Colorado-based personal injury attorney who grew up in Trinidad, Colorado, before earning his law degree from the University of Denver in 1982. After working as an assistant district attorney, he founded his own firm, Franklin D. Azar & Associates, in 1987, which has since become a major player in personal injury litigation. Azar has won high-profile cases against major corporations like Walmart, Meta Platforms, and Riddell Sports, and notably assisted in the legal battles surrounding Anna Nicole Smith's estate. In 2024, his expertise was further recognized when he was appointed to the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee for the multidistrict litigation involving DePuy's faulty Pinnacle hip implants. Beyond his legal work, he is a dedicated philanthropist, establishing a scholarship fund in 2014 and hosting an annual golf tournament, the Azar Invitational, to support education for local youths in his hometown.
