Blaze Alexander (born June 11, 1999) is an American professional baseball infielder who currently plays for the Baltimore Orioles in Major League Baseball (MLB), having previously spent time with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Drafted by Arizona in the 11th round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of IMG Academy, he worked his way through the minors—missing 2020 due to the pandemic—before making his MLB debut in 2024. In his rookie season with the Diamondbacks, he batted .247 with three home runs, and in 2025 he hit seven homers with 28 RBIs. On February 5, 2026, he was traded to the Orioles in exchange for Kade Strowd, Wellington Aracena, and José Mejía, but his season was cut short when he broke his left hand after being hit by a pitch from Kansas City Royals reliever Lucas Erceg on July 12. Off the field, he comes from a strong baseball family, being the nephew of former MLB pitcher Dan Plesac and the cousin of pitcher Zach Plesac, while his brother CJ also plays professionally.
