Jaylen Waddle (born November 25, 1998) is an American football wide receiver currently playing for the Denver Broncos after being traded from the Miami Dolphins in 2026. He starred at the University of Alabama, earning SEC Freshman of the Year in 2018 and SEC Special Teams Player of the Year in 2019, while leading the NCAA in punt return yards. Despite breaking his ankle in October 2020, he returned for the National Championship game before entering the 2021 NFL draft, where the Dolphins selected him sixth overall, reuniting him with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. In his rookie season (2021), he set the NFL record for most receptions by a rookie with 104 catches (later broken by Puka Nacua), finishing with 1,015 yards and seven touchdowns. Over five seasons in Miami, he became known for his explosive playmaking and signature "waddle" touchdown celebrations before his trade to Denver in 2026.
