Total DramaRama is an animated comedy spin-off of the Total Drama franchise, created by Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch, which premiered on Cartoon Network on September 1, 2018, and on Teletoon in Canada on October 7, 2018. Set in an alternate universe, the show reimagines beloved teenage characters like Courtney, Gwen, Duncan, and Owen as toddlers being cared for by Chef Hatchet, and even includes Jude from the sister show 6teen. Originally titled Total Drama Daycare, the series aged down 11 fan-favorite characters to age 4, and its success led to renewals for a second season in February 2019 and a third season that premiered in mid-2021, adding Lightning and Sugar to the cast. The show is available to stream on HBO Max, with seasons added progressively from September 2021 through September 2022. Reception has been mixed; while Common Sense Media gave it three stars for its entertaining humor, The Washington Post noted that the satire was less clever than in previous installments, recommending it for ages 7 and up.
