Kyle Tucker, nicknamed "King Tuck," is a premier right fielder currently playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers, having previously starred for the Houston Astros and Chicago Cubs. A Tampa, Florida native, he was named the state's Gatorade Player of the Year at Henry B. Plant High School before being drafted fifth overall by the Astros in the 2015 MLB draft, signing for a $4 million bonus. He made his MLB debut in 2018 and showed early promise, leading the American League in triples during the shortened 2020 season. Tucker truly broke out in 2021, batting .320 from May onward while leading the AL in on-base percentage, slugging, and OPS, and the following year he captured his first World Series championship, All-Star selection, and Gold Glove Award. In 2023, he led the AL in RBIs and won his first Silver Slugger Award, cementing his status as an elite hitter—a four-time All-Star since 2021 who set a high school record with 31 career home runs.
