Jéssica Bouzas Maneiro (born 24 September 2002) is a Spanish professional tennis player who has risen to a career-high WTA singles ranking of world No. 40 (as of August 2025), making her the current No. 2 Spanish player. Starting tennis at age five in her hometown, she later trained at the Ferrero Tennis Academy and moved to Madrid, building a foundation that led to 11 ITF singles titles and a WTA 125 title in Antalya in 2024. Her major breakthrough came at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, where she upset defending champion Markéta Vondroušová in the first round—the first time since 1994 that a defending women's Wimbledon champion lost in the opening round—before reaching the third round. She also reached the third round at the 2024 US Open and made her WTA 1000 main-draw debut at the Madrid Open, where she defeated compatriot Paula Badosa. In 2025, she continued her rise by reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon and her first WTA 1000 quarterfinal, while also competing at the Australian Open against world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka. With a best doubles ranking of No. 201, she has won one WTA Challenger title and four ITF doubles titles, establishing herself as a rising star on the tour.
