Sean Combs (born November 4, 1969), known professionally as Diddy, is a music mogul who founded Bad Boy Records in 1993, discovering stars like The Notorious B.I.G. and Usher, and achieving massive chart success with his debut album No Way Out (1997). He built a vast business empire including Sean John, Cîroc, and Revolt, won three Grammys, and became the first male rapper to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2008. His career unraveled starting in late 2023 when he settled a lawsuit from Cassie Ventura, leading to a cascade of sexual misconduct allegations and a federal indictment for sex trafficking and racketeering in September 2024. At his trial beginning May 5, 2025, he was found guilty on July 2, 2025, of transportation to engage in prostitution, but acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking. On October 3, 2025, he was sentenced to 50 months in prison (with credit for time served) and is currently incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix.
