Lucas Ocampos is an Argentine professional footballer who currently plays as a winger or forward for Liga MX club Monterrey. He began his senior career at River Plate in 2011, making his debut at just 17 and scoring 7 goals to help the club secure promotion back to the Argentine top flight. In 2012, he transferred to AS Monaco for a record €11 million Ligue 2 fee, where he helped the club win promotion to Ligue 1 and earned a nomination for the European Golden Boy award. After a four-year stint at Marseille—which included loan spells at Genoa and Milan—he joined Sevilla in 2019, winning two UEFA Europa League titles. Following a brief loan at Ajax, he moved to Monterrey in 2024, adding a new chapter to his career in Mexico.
