Eric André (born April 4, 1983, in Boca Raton, Florida) is a multi-talented American comedian, actor, singer, and musician, best known as the creator and host of the surreal Adult Swim parody talk show The Eric Andre Show (2012–2023). Raised in a mixed Haitian and Ashkenazi Jewish household, he studied double bass at Berklee College of Music before making his mark in comedy through roles in Man Seeking Woman, the Marvel series Ironheart, and voice work in hits like Disenchantment and The Lion King (2019). Beyond his chaotic TV antics, André released the Netflix stand-up special Legalize Everything (2020) and starred in the prank film Bad Trip (2021). In 2022, he filed a federal lawsuit against Clayton County, Georgia, alleging racial profiling by police at the Atlanta airport—a case dismissed on qualified immunity grounds but later appealed. A self-described agnostic atheist who endorses Bernie Sanders and embraces unconventional views on sexuality, André also signed the "Film Workers for Palestine" boycott in 2024 over the Gaza war. Most recently, he made headlines in June 2026 when he was dramatically attacked by wrestler Jacob Fatu during a WWE Raw segment.
