Freddie Freeman (born September 12, 1989) is a Canadian-American first baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers, known for his remarkable consistency and clutch hitting. He debuted with the Atlanta Braves in 2010, spent 12 seasons there, and after winning the 2021 World Series, signed a six-year, $162 million contract with the Dodgers. A 10-time All-Star and three-time World Series champion, he earned the National League MVP in 2020, a Gold Glove in 2018, and three consecutive Silver Slugger awards (2019–2021). In 2024, he captured World Series MVP honors by setting a record for consecutive World Series games with a home run, including the first walk-off grand slam in World Series history. Off the field, he honors his late mother, who died of melanoma when he was 10, by always wearing long sleeves, and he represents Canada in international play due to his parents' Ontario roots.
